The abstract is usually written after you have completed your entire dissertation, but it is placed at the beginning.

  • Contents

This section gives us a detail of the contents of the dissertation.

  • Introduction 

In this section, the background of the dissertation is mentioned. It gives the readers an idea about what to expect. The reader would realize the importance of this investigation based on the introduction.

  • Aims and Objectives

In this section, you should mention your purpose behind this investigation, i.e. Aim. Afterward, you ought to explain the methods through which you will be able to fulfill your aims that you previously mentioned, i.e. Objectives. Most of the readers come back to this section after reading the entire investigation to find out if you have fulfilled all the aims and objectives or not.

  • Literature Review

This section will help the readers understand about the topic that you are conducting your research on. It would place your research in context, and they would realize how are you building your research and investigation upon the prior knowledge. You must cite your sources in this section.

  • Research Methodology

This section would deal with the methodology that you will use to conduct your research. This section is crucial because if you do not use the correct methodology, you will not get the desired results. On the other hand, by using the correct methodology, you will get the desired results.

  • Ethical issues

Through this section, you should let the readers know that you have followed all the points and no ethical issues were faced during this investigation

  • Results/Findings

In this section, you would list all the findings and results. It is the point where you will go back to your aims and objectives and let the readers know that you have completed all the objectives that you stated earlier.

  • Discussion

In this section, you would discuss all your findings and results. The problems that you faced while conducting this investigation etc.

  • Recommendation

In this section, you would make a recommendation to the readers or to other researchers about the points that you did not get a chance to cover. It would give those researchers a chance to conduct their research on those points.

  • References

This section would show the readers all the references that you used to complete this dissertation.

  • Appendices

Only raw data is shown in this part of the dissertation. You should not write your results here.
